Background

Vodafone Sure Signal solution allows Mobile phone users living in black spots to boost their coverage by installing a device call a femtocell on top of their broad band connection. This allows them to have an enhanced 3G coverage in their local area.

Summary

Peter worked on the development of the customer care portal for the UK solution and the Public facing and customer care portal for the Italian Solution. He joined an existing team to complete two full releases of software.

Approach

As part of an Agile team Peter was responsible for planning, estimation, design, development and testing of new functionality or features. These where delivered in two week iterations to production quality. Each feature included the following:

  • New or enhanced Application and Database code
  • New or enhanced User interface code
  • Unit tests providing a minimum of 80% coverage
  • Functional tests using Selenium automated testing solution
  • Completed Code reviews

The project used Agile and the Scrum project management framework, with two week sprint, daily stand ups and sprint planning, review and retrospective sessions.
